You are what you think. Words are spirit. Your mind is spirit. When an unclean spirit leaves it comes back to see if your mind is empty, wept and garnished. We replace unclean spirits with Christ's spirit of love, joy, peace, meekness, humility, righteousness, truth, goodness, faith, long suffering, temperance. We are told to put off the old conversation and put on the new conversation. Speak and think words of the fruit of the spirit. Replace negative thoughts with spoken words. Speak love, joy, peace. Occupy your mind with the fruit of the Spirit of Christ.
You are what you think
Prov. 23:7 7For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Think on the fruit of the Spirit
Phil. 4:8 8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things arelovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there beany praise, think on these things.
Renew your mind by learning Christ
Eph. 4:20 20But ye have not so learned Christ; 21If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Matt. 11:29 29Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Rom. 12:2 2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Cast down negative thoughts
2 Cor. 10:5 3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
The Lord is a strong hold
Nah. 1:7 7The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Words are spirit whether spoken or thought
Jn. 6:63 63It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
God gives us the spirit of love
2 Tim. 1:7 7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Replace negative thoughts with spoken words. Replace unclean spirits with the spirit of love, joy, peace, etc. Speak love, joy, peace. Occupy your mind with the fruit of the Spirit of Christ and the blood of Jesus. Apply the blood of Jesus of your mind so the blood can occupy your mind.
Matt. 12:43 43When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. 44Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Serve God with your mind
Rom. 7:25 25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
Rom. 1:28 28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Thoughts of faith are thoughts of good report
Heb. 11:1 1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2For by it the elders obtained a good report.
Matt. 6:25 25Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? 27Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. 34Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Eph. 4:20 20Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
