Faith Through Thoughts
And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? (Matthew 6:28-30).
[Scripture Reading Matt. 6:25-34]
Faith Through Thoughts
Faith through thoughts. Think on God's goodness. Your thoughts are where faith starts. The enemy of faith through thoughts is worry, fear, and doubt. Situations and problems will arise for you to worry, fear and doubt. When you are in need, think of how God provides for His creation (Matthew 6:25-30; Luke 12:24, 27). When afraid of public speaking, trust that God will give you the words to speak (Matthew 10:19; Mark 13:11; Luke 12:11; Prov. 16:1). When afraid of danger, think of God knowing every sparrow that falls on the ground and Him knowing the number of hairs on your head (Matthew 10:28-31; Luke 12:4-7). When in doubt, remind yourself of the things God has done for you in the past (Matt. 16:8-9). What you think upon is what will be (Matt. 6:33; Eph. 3:20; Prov. 16:237; Isaiah 14:24). Don’t worry about tomorrow (Mat. 6:34). Meditate on God’s goodness (Phil. 4:6-8).
