We are a royal priesthood. The royal is kingly and the priesthood is priestly. We are made kings and priests by Jesus Christ. Our kingly side is God praising us and our priestly side is us praising God. When God praises us, He gives us power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and blessing (Rev. 5:12). When we praise God, we give him blessing, glory wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power and might. Humility is the key to activate and keep our kingship.
We are a royal priesthood
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
The royal is kingly and the priesthood is priestly. We are made kings and priests by Jesus Christ
Rev. 1:5 5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, 6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him beglory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Rev. 5:9 9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; 10And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
God is our praise
Jer 17:14 - Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. H8416
Deuteronomy 10:21 He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and terrible things, which thine eyes have seen.
Zeph. 3:17 17The LORD thy God in the midst of thee ismighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
God praises us in 7 ways. This is our kingly side.
Rev. 5:12 12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
2 Chron. 1:11 11And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 12Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.
Gen. 1:28 28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
God meets our needs with the 7 praises
Is. 28:5 5In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
God uses us to show forth his 7 praises to others
Is. 62:3 3Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
We need to grow into kingship
Gal. 4:1 1Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; 2But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Jn. 1:12 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Humility activates the praises of God and keeps your kingship
Ez. 21:26 26Thus saith the Lord GOD; Remove the diadem, and take off the crown: this shall not be the same: exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.
1 Sam. 15:17 17And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel? 18And the LORD sent thee on a journey, and said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners the Amalekites, and fight against them until they be consumed. 19Wherefore then didst thou not obey the voice of the LORD, but didst fly upon the spoil, and didst evil in the sight of the LORD? 20And Saul said unto Samuel, Yea, I have obeyed the voice of the LORD, and have gone the way which the LORD sent me, and have brought Agag the king of Amalek, and have utterly destroyed the Amalekites. 21But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the things which should have been utterly destroyed, to sacrifice unto the LORD thy God in Gilgal. 22And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. 23For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.

Amen.
Is. 40:15 15And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
