God's Faithfulness to Finish

God is faithful to finish the good work that He began in you. Your faith should be in this very thing. He counted the cost of giving His Son to finish His work that He began with you. Just as He finished the heavens and the earth, He will also finish the work of your life.

God finished the heavens and the earth

Gen. 2:1 1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

God will finish the work he started with Israel

Rom. 9:27 27Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. 29And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.

God counted the cost of giving his Son

Lk. 14:28 28For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? 29Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, 30Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our Faith

Heb. 12:2 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

God will preserve us until the coming of our Lord Jesus

1 Thess. 5:23 23And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
